Privacy Policy
Last updated:
amiteshmaurya.com is the personal portfolio, blog and research website of Amitesh Maurya. This policy explains what information the website collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Files you upload
The Start a Project form lets you attach files that help explain your project, such as a brief, wireframes, screenshots or a presentation. The form shows which file types and sizes are accepted.
- Uploaded files are kept in private storage and are not publicly accessible.
- Only I can open them, and they are used only to understand your project.
- When your inquiry is deleted, its files are deleted with it.
Please do not upload passwords, access credentials, payment details or other highly sensitive information.
Testimonials and comments
Testimonials and blog comments are reviewed before they are published. Some are never published.
- A published testimonial shows your name, your testimonial, and any role, company or website you provided.
- A published comment shows your name and your comment.
- Your email address is never shown publicly.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this site receives basic technical information when you visit, including:
- your IP address
- your browser and device type
- the pages you request and the page that referred you
This information is used to keep the website running, secure and free of spam.
The website also uses privacy-friendly measurement:
- Usage and performance statistics are collected by my hosting provider’s analytics, Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights. They show how many people visit and how quickly pages load. According to Vercel, these services do not use cookies.
- A small number of actions are counted, such as clicking “Start a Project” or sending a form. These counts use a random identifier stored in your browser, which is not linked to your name or email address. They are deleted automatically after one year.
There is no advertising on this website, and no tracking of you across other websites.
Site search
When you use the site search (Ctrl + K or ⌘ K), what you type is sent to the website so it can return matching public pages. Searches are used only to show results and are not kept as a search history.
Research demos
- Processing: the face detection and object detection demos process your images and camera feed locally in your browser. They are not uploaded to or stored on my servers.
- Camera: the face detection demo only uses your camera after you start it and allow camera access in your browser. It stops when you stop the demo or leave the page. You can withdraw camera permission at any time in your browser settings.
- Model download: the object detection demo downloads its detection model from Google’s servers the first time it runs. As with any download, Google receives standard request information such as your IP address. Your image is not sent.
